| We explore social issues in a personal way fusing dance, theatre and music. We educate, promote the arts and reach out to diverse communities. We train young dancers through Momentum's JHHN and JHH programs, providing professional performance opportunities. We partner with local institutions such as the Washington, DC Public Schools to increase our deep and longstanding connection with our community. We seek innovative ways to bring the arts into our lives in meaningful ways. We like to make people laugh as well as think in our dances and encourage our audiences to have as much fun as possible. We share our love of dance and our desire to make dance accessible to all people. |

| Momentum educates and showcases the next generation of dancers through its original show "Jazz, Hip Hop Nutcracker", its year-round Jazz/Hip Hop training programs, arts integration programs such as "Dance In Its Time", innovative approaches to street performing such as"PopUp Dances", its Jazz Hip Hop Camp and its recently begun yearly summer JHH youth trips to New York City. |

| Momentum Dance Theatre is Capitol Hill's professional dance and theater company, based in Washington, DC. Founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Roberta Rothstein, Momentum blends jazz, hip hop, house, modern, Latin dance, and theater in performance, outreach and education. Momentum's dances are marked by musicality, wit, unusual pairings of music and dance styles, high energy and passion. Momentum's theater pieces weave personal stories to create fast paced, compelling dance theater that provokes thought and discussion about contemporary issues. |
